ISLANDER is inviting you to a site visit to our pilot island, the beautiful North Sea island of Borkum! This site visit will provide an up close opportunity to explore the innovative energy technologies and solutions being developed as part of the ISLANDER project.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit various pilot installations that are an integral part of the island’s energy transition efforts, including advanced energy storage systems and smart energy management platforms. The site visit will also provide valuable insights into the challenges and progress of Borkum’s energy transition, the establishment of an Energy Community and the replication strategy for the project, highlighting how the solutions implemented on Borkum will be adapted and applied on follower islands.
